The mahalla of Muhaiyadeen Jummah Mosque, Moor Road, Trincomalee consists of 26 poor families who use common well. However the well water has no drainage system therefore the water from the well collects around the houses (see picture) and pose danger to the hell of the families. Appeals to the authorities have fallen on deaf ears.

Now the municipality has granted land about 200m from the well for a septic tank to be built, where the water will be collected which will be regularly removed y the health authorities. However the authorities have asked the people to build the septic tank.

The estimate is Rs.350,000 (see plan)

Please help the danger of mosquito borne diseases loom large over this community which consists of many small children too, because of this situation.
