Assalamu alaikum warahmathullahi wabarakathuhu
Ibn ‘Abbas reports that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said, No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these days[meaning the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah].
Narrated Sahl bin Sa’d: The Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,” putting his index and middle fingers together.
Narrated Abu Huraira that The Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) also said “The one who looks after and works for a widow and for a poor person, is like a warrior fighting for Allah’s Cause or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all the night.”
We at Almuslimaath help the poor orphans with their food, clothing and education either directly or by empowering of his/her mother.
We are in the first ten days of dhul hijji. This is the time our deeds are said to be dearest to Allah – more than any other days of the year! And this is the time we are spending lavishly on food and clothes for our loved ones. Let us help at least one orphan with a small part of our money that Allah has blessed us with.
We pay Rs. 1500 (= about 12 USD = $6 = 50 Riyals) a child per month for food and education. Though this is not a large amount it will keep them from going hungry and being illiterate, insha Allah.
We intend to help at least 100 orphans this year insha Allah, though we have appeals from over 300 widows which equals to about 1000 orphans.
So far we have got sponsorship for 65 orphans.
