Rizana Jamaldeen’s story is like a million other stories.
Her husband abandoned her after 2 children about 9 months ago. The first daughter is 2 years old and the son is 9 months old. He also took all her jewellery saying he would go abroad and send them the money, and was never heard of again.
Since her kids are small she is unable to leave them and go to work. But with all these problems, she cleans gunny loads of rotten onions for Rs.100/- a day just to feed her children. But even this job is not permanent.
A few weeks ago her house along with another 46 houses caught fire and absolutely everything was burned. She has nothing now.
Attached are pictures of the charred house. She desperately needs someone to help her rebuild the house. The estimate is only about Rs.75,000 as it was a wooden shack.
All documents can be produced. This is a genuine case, I know Rizana personally. She has never approached anyone for help in the past.
