This man, hailing from Matale with a fractured hip, had been bedridden for more than a year. He unfortunately had a stroke which affected the same side as the fractured leg so that the doctors were reluctant to do surgery.
He has 2 children, both of them are married, but are very poor, are looking after to his daily needs.
He has to be carried to the toilet which is situated at the back of the house. If a small room with a commode is put up in the adjacent passage it will help his wife who looks after him very much.
The estimate is only Rs.20,000/=
