Assalamu alaikum Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuhu

“And they feed, for the love of Allah, the poor, the orphan, and the captiveā€¦” [Soorah al-Insaan, 8]

When a little girl cries halfway around the world, are her tears any less real? Would you like to be like a Mujaahid or like those who spend their days fasting and their nights praying?

“One who cares for widows and the poor is like those who fight in the way of Allah or those who spend their days fasting and their nights praying.” {Agreed upon}

Our House of Benevolence, Darun Nusra which houses orphans and destitute children has reopened, thanks to the court’s decision to grant us the guardianship of the children back again, ALL PRAISE IS DUE TO ALLAH ALONE!

We have no permanent sponsors and we need help to feed,clothe and educate these children. We have 10 residents at present and 10 more are due to arrive this week insha Allah, varying from 5 years to 14 years of age; Most are studying in our Alasaafeer International school in English medium. We give them good religious guidance as well as secular education, get them jobs and get the married too.

The expenditure including food, clothes, salaries of staff, transport to and from school and utility bills we need Rs. 10000 a month per child. i.e. total of Rs. 200,000 every month.

For feeding, we need Rs. 6000 per day for all three meals for all the inmates. We have no fixed donors for these expenditures.

Please help us with at least one meal, or send dry rations or help us pay the monthly expenses.

Looking after orphans and destitute children, needless to say, is of great merit and you can spend out of your zakath for them as everyone of them are zakath eligible.
