Assalamu Alaikum WW.
This eldest girl from a very poor family has got a proposal. The marriage is hopefully fixed for next month beofre Ramadhan starts.This family of 7- father, mother and 5 children – lives in a single roomed house. The neighbors have got a room half built and the father, being adaily wage earner, is unable to complete the house.
It will cost Rs. 200,000 to complete the house with a toilet which the family does not have. They all go to the neighbor’s toilet!
If 10 people put in Rs. 20000 each we can make sure the family can safely give the girl in marriage. they are obviously eligible for zakath.
