An awareness program on ‘Stop Dengue’ was organized for the housewives at 3.30 pm, at knowledge centre, 18′ Vanderwert place Dehiwela on 19th of August, 2016.
Alhamdhulillah, the program was held successfully with a discussion with Minister Faizer Mustafa on above mentioned topic.
Dr Mrs Mareena Thaha, Mrs Fathima Innath, Mrs Ferial Ashraf, Mrs Rikaza, Mr Afzal & Mr Thasim too presented to the discussion among the participants.
The discussion was on the current dengue widespread throughout Sri Lanka, by highlighting the 6 pillars of dengue prevention.
Mr Sudarshana was informed to organize a telephone program conducted by Dr Mareena Thaha
Educating the housewives about the cleanliness and the need for an environment, free from dengue mosquitoes was the target of the program.
It is a pleasure that the Minister granted his approval for our planned activities, and informed our need for approval through a meeting in the Deiwala-Mount Lavinia municipal council with the Commissioner Mr. K.B.V.D.N. MUTHUGALA.
We are kindly requesting the public to take more interest to workout with us to get an environment free from dengue mosquitoes.
